Molly's In the House

Molly couldn't wait to get here, so she made herself a Valentine baby.

Denise and I had driven to Lufkin, Texas, for a couple of showers. At her Mom's house, Denise went into early labor about 1am, which led to the emergency room at about 6am. Labor and Delivery tried to stop the contractions, but Molly was having none of that. At about 12:18pm, after less than two dozen pushes, Denise gave birth, ten weeks early, to Molly. We suspect an undetected rupture in the membrane hastened labor.

The hospital stabilized Molly, and Cook's Children's transported her via plane to Fort Worth around 4:30pm. She's tiny at 3.5 pounds, but strong and close to breathing on her own. We're estimating 2-3 months before she leaves. I can already tell she's a fighter, so she will be fine.

Denise is also fine and due back home Sunday. What a champ. I love her.

Pics soon.

Congratulations you guys!! We are very excited for both of you, way out here in CA. Wish we could be there with you! It's hard to be away from good friends during times like these! I'd like to especially thank Jennifer Hare for updating me yesterday - she made sure I knew what was going on!

Good luck and Molly will be home before you know it! I KNOW she is a trooper because she's got the best of her mommy and daddy! :) Love and peace always!
