Progressing to Progressive

peeking_small.jpg
The environment of the Progressive ICU where Molly was moved today is much more relaxed, with rockers and windows and space. The air feels lighter, with less anxiety on the faces of the parents visiting their young, who tend to be in special cribs rather than incubators as Molly still is. While still on monitors, Molly is less than critical at this point, able to breathe without problems and eating 8cc per meal, up from 4cc two days ago. Well on her way to big, fat babyland.

Today, Molly opened her eyes and made about a thousand different expressions, mostly when the camera was off of course. Her little face is now fully visible and her personality is beginning to shine through. She's fiesty, testy, and insistent on her sleep, but above all she's beautiful outside and determined inside.

All news is good.
